Using Implode Menu and Get Dynamic Multi-Selection SB
Hi - I would like to use the Implode Menu and Get Dynamic Multi Selection server behaviors to add and update records via forms and to correctly display the data on a page. Platform is PHP. I am only using one multi-selection dynamic list/menu form field on each page. What is the correct order in which to use these behaviors in conjunction with the insert and update record server behaviors built into Dreamweaver? Let us start with Update first: do I retrieve the data in the dynamic list from the database, then apply the update record behavior, then apply your Implode behavior, or do I use the Get Dynamic multi selection to even retrieve the values with the database, then apply the implode, then update? How do you actually use this? I cannot see anything in any FAQ or instructions anywhere. thank you. elizabeth

So far, in about 10 different combinations of applying these behaviors along with the DW Update record behavior, at best I get one selection, most often I get All Data Erased within that field.

The Get Dynamic Multi Selection server behaviors is used when you want to retrieve in a multiselection list/menu a priorly saved multi selection via an Implode Menu.
So far when inserting and you have a multi selection list in the form you will use the Implode Menu and the multi selection will be saved as a single string with delimiters, then when you want to retrieve it back in a list, for example in a update form, you will use the Get Dynamic Multi Selection. off course in a update form you will use also the Implode Menu.
